BLS Polymers IPO Listing Gain: What One Lot and the Retail Maximum Could Make

At the GMP-implied Rs 218, one lot of 100 shares gains Rs 6,800, before tax and charges, on an investment of Rs 15,000.

The 13-lot retail cap comes from the Rs 2 lakh limit at Rs 15,000 a lot. The Rs 10 lakh line between small and big non-institutional bids falls between 66 and 67 lots.

These are paper gains at one assumed price, not a forecast. If the stock lists at Rs 150 the gain is zero, and below it there is a loss.

Bids covered about 28.7 crore shares worth roughly Rs 43,058 crore against a Rs 255 crore issue.

If every retail applicant bid for a single lot, about 1 in 128 would be allotted shares. At most 59,500 retail applicants can get a lot each, so a large bid of 13 lots does not raise your odds.

Small HNI demand of 491.94 times is the lowest of the two non-institutional sub-categories, but it still means only a sliver of any bid can be filled.

BLS Polymers IPO Reservation and Anchor Investors

The BLS Polymers IPO reserves 50% of the issue for qualified institutions, including a 30% anchor portion, 15% for non-institutional investors and 35% for retail investors.

BLS Polymers IPO Price Band, Lot Size and Minimum Investment

The BLS Polymers IPO price band was Rs 142 to Rs 150 per share, and one lot of 100 shares cost Rs 14,200 to Rs 15,000.

About BLS Polymers: What the Company Makes

BLS Polymers is a New Delhi company, founded in 1991, that makes custom-formulated polymer compounds, the plastic raw material that goes into wire and cable insulation and pipeline coatings.

Products: HDPE, MDPE, LLDPE, XLPE, HFFR and PVC compounds, cable filling compounds and adhesive coating compounds, across 127 grades.
Customers: power, railways, telecom, water and oil and gas distribution, with enlisted-vendor status at several central public sector companies.
Plant: one site in Goa with 11 production machines and 35,251 tonnes a year of installed capacity, per Moneycontrol and Upstox.
Reach: products sold in 23 states and Union Territories, with 94.68% of April to June 2026 revenue from India.
Promoters: Vinod, Sushil, Madhukar, Diwakar and Karan Aggarwal. Karan Aggarwal is managing director and chief executive.

Wire and cable compounds are the core, at 80.93% of FY26 revenue. The company's own site is blspolymers.com.

BLS Polymers Financials: Revenue, Profit and Margins

BLS Polymers earned a profit of Rs 27.01 crore in FY26 on revenue of Rs 349.43 crore, up 3.6 times in profit from FY24 on only 18% more revenue.

FY25328.4310.82%21.146.44%
FY26349.436.39%27.017.73%

Margin, not volume, drove the profit. The PAT margin tripled from 2.54% to 7.73% in two years, while revenue growth slowed from 10.82% to 6.39%.

For April to June 2026 the company reported a profit of about Rs 10.2 crore on revenue of about Rs 107 crore, a margin near 9.5%. Net worth was Rs 94.93 crore on 31 March 2026 and Rs 105.17 crore on 30 June 2026.

Return on net worth was 28.45% in FY26, which is Rs 27.01 crore over year-end net worth. That is high, but net worth is small, so one good year moves the ratio a lot.

Where the BLS Polymers IPO Money Goes

The IPO raises Rs 255 crore, of which Rs 167.06 crore is earmarked for plant expansion and working capital, and the balance covers issue costs and general corporate purposes.

Objects of the BLS Polymers issue, Rs crore
UseAmountShare of earmarked
Expand the Goa plant77.5646.43%
Working capital89.5053.57%
Issue expenses and general corporate purposes87.94Balance of Rs 255 crore

None of the money repays debt. Consolidated borrowings were Rs 82.35 crore on 31 August 2026, and SBI Securities, as cited by Business Today, expects capacity to rise from 35,251 to 87,301 tonnes a year.

That is about 2.5 times today's capacity. The plan only pays off if the company finds customers beyond its current top ten.

BLS Polymers IPO Valuation: P/E, Price to Book and Peers

At the Rs 150 upper band BLS Polymers is valued at Rs 930.48 crore, which is 25 times its FY26 earnings per share of Rs 6.00.

Divide that market cap by FY26 profit instead and the multiple is 34.5 times, the figure SBI Securities quotes after the new shares. Both are correct, because the first uses shares before the issue and the second after.

Plastiblends India14.530.708.17%
Ddev Plastiks12.971.9519.92%

Peer multiples move every day, so read this as a snapshot. BLS sits between the 13 to 15 times of Plastiblends and Ddev and the 46 times of Kingfa.

The price to book of 7.12 is the outlier, on a book value of Rs 21.08 a share. Its return on net worth is the highest in the group, which is the case for the premium.

At a Rs 218 listing the market cap would be about Rs 1,352 crore, or 50 times FY26 profit. A listing at the GMP leaves little room for the stock to be cheap.

BLS Polymers IPO Review: Strengths, Risks and What Brokerages Said

Six brokerages cited by Business Today on 27 October said subscribe, but Swastika Investmart rated the risk moderate to high, citing limited valuation comfort and execution risk.

Repeat business: repeat orders were 96.51% of FY26 revenue, which points to sticky customers.
Profit momentum: profit grew 27.77% in FY26 after nearly tripling in FY25.
Approved vendor status: enlisted with several central public sector buyers, which helps win tenders.
Skin in the game: promoters keep 71.53% after the issue.

Should You Sell or Hold BLS Polymers After Listing?
