How to Check IPO Allotment Status on KFintech

You check on KFintech in five steps: open the registrar page, select the IPO, pick PAN, application number or DP ID, enter it with the captcha, and submit. The whole check takes under five minutes.

1

Step 1: Open the KFintech page

Type ipostatus.kfintech.com into your browser. If the page is slow, pick another server link on it.

2

Step 2: Select the IPO

Choose your IPO from the Select IPO list. A new issue appears once the registrar loads its data.

3

Step 3: Pick how to search

Choose PAN, application number, or DP ID and client ID from your demat account.

4

Step 4: Enter your details and the captcha

Type the PAN, application number or demat ID exactly as in your broker app, then the captcha.

5

Step 5: Submit and read the result

Click Submit. The page shows shares applied for and shares allotted, which is 0 if you were not picked.

KFin Technologies Limited runs the page, and it only lists IPOs for which it is the registrar to the offer. The result is the same data BSE and NSE show.

PAN, Application Number or DP ID: Which One to Use

PAN is the easiest detail to use, because you always have it and the page accepts it alone. The other two are useful if a PAN search fails.

Details You Can Use on the KFintech Status Page
DetailWhere to find itNote
PANYour PAN cardTen characters, same as on the bid
Application numberBroker app IPO orders or bank confirmationUnique to each bid
DP ID and client IDYour demat account statementSixteen characters in total

If you forgot your PAN, the guide on how to find your PAN number lists the quickest ways.

KFintech and the Jio Platforms IPO

KFin Technologies is the registrar for the Jio Platforms IPO, so the Jio allotment shows on its page under Jio Platforms Limited. The price band was Rs 1,065 to Rs 1,119 per share, with a lot of 12 shares.

One lot at the upper band blocks Rs 13,428, which is 12 shares times Rs 1,119. A non-allotted bid gets that amount back in full.

CategoryTimes subscribed
Qualified institutional buyers70.55x
Non-institutional investors14.00x
Retail individual investors2.72x
Overall22.19x

Retail demand of 2.72 times the shares on offer means a lottery decided retail allotment. The timetable gave 26 October, but broker reports said it was finalised on 27 October.

Check the exchange bid data on BSE or NSE for exact figures, since trackers differ slightly in their totals.

What the KFintech Allotment Result Means

The page returns the shares you applied for and the shares you were allotted, and the gap between the two tells you what happens next. An allotted figure of zero means no shares and a full refund.

What Happens After the Allotment

After allotment, refunds and share credit come one working day later and the shares list the working day after that. SEBI's T+3 timeline sets the pace: listing falls three working days after the issue closes.

For Jio, the issue closed on 23 October, the refund and credit date was 27 October, and listing is on 28 October at 10:00 AM IST.

A listing gain is taxed as a short-term gain if you sell within 12 months. The Capital Gains Calculator shows the tax on a sale.

Why KFintech Shows No Record Found

KFintech shows no record when the allotment data is not uploaded yet or when a detail you typed does not match the bid. Most cases clear within a few hours.

  • Data not loaded: The page fills in on allotment evening or the next morning.
  • Wrong IPO selected: Pick the exact company name, not a similar one.
  • Typing error: Copy the PAN or application number from your broker app.
  • Rejected bid: A UPI mandate left unapproved or a PAN mismatch means the bid never reached the registrar.

Checking on BSE or NSE Instead

You can check on the BSE or NSE status pages when the KFintech page is slow or does not list your IPO. Both read the same registrar data.

  • BSE: Choose Equity, select the issue, enter your application number or PAN, and search.
  • NSE: Open the IPO bid verification page, select Equity and SME IPO bid details, pick the company, and enter your PAN and application number.
  • Broker app: The IPO orders section shows allotted or not allotted once the file is out.

IPO Allotment Scams to Avoid

No one can sell or guarantee an IPO allotment, because the registrar runs the lottery under exchange supervision. Use only the KFintech, BSE or NSE pages, typed in yourself.

  • Fake links: Ignore WhatsApp, SMS or Telegram links that claim to show your result.
  • Paid allotment: Anyone promising shares for a fee is running a scam.
  • OTP or UPI PIN requests: A status check needs a PAN and a captcha only.

Report fraud on the cybercrime helpline 1930, and use SEBI SCORES for a complaint about an application.

Frequently Asked Questions: KFintech IPO Allotment

How do I check my IPO allotment status on KFintech?

Open ipostatus.kfintech.com, choose the IPO from the list, pick PAN, application number or DP ID and client ID, enter it with the captcha and submit. The page shows shares applied for and shares allotted.

What is the official KFintech IPO allotment link?

The registrar page is ipostatus.kfintech.com, run by KFin Technologies Limited. Type the address yourself instead of opening a link forwarded on WhatsApp, SMS or Telegram.

What is KFintech in an IPO?

KFin Technologies, called KFintech, is a registrar and transfer agent. For IPOs that name it as registrar to the offer, it handles applications, prepares the allotment with the exchange and sends refund and share-credit instructions.

Does every IPO use KFintech?

No. The issuer picks the registrar, and the offer document names it. If your IPO does not list on the KFintech page, check the registrar in the prospectus, or use the BSE or NSE status pages.

Can I check IPO allotment by PAN number only?

Yes. The KFintech page and the BSE page both accept a PAN. NSE asks for your PAN and application number together.

Where do I find my application number?

It is in the IPO orders section of your broker app, or in the confirmation from your bank if you applied through net banking. UPI applications also show it in the mandate message.

Why does KFintech show no record found?

Either the allotment data is not uploaded yet, or something you typed does not match the bid. Wait a few hours, then recheck the PAN, application number and the IPO you selected.

When does the KFintech allotment status go live?

It usually appears on the evening of the basis of allotment date and sometimes only by the next morning. The date is in the offer timetable and can shift by a day.

What does allotted 0 mean on KFintech?

It means your valid bid was not picked in the lottery. The blocked amount is released on the refund date, so you lose nothing apart from the wait.

When do I get a refund or my UPI block released?

Under the SEBI T+3 timetable, refunds, unblocking and share credit fall on the working day after the allotment, and listing follows a day later. Exact dates are in the offer document.

When do allotted shares reach my demat account?

On the credit date in the timetable, usually the working day after allotment. Some broker apps show the shares only on the listing morning, so an empty holdings page the evening before is not a fault.

How are retail IPO shares allotted when the issue is oversubscribed?

Each winning retail applicant gets one minimum lot, picked by computerised lottery under the SEBI ICDR Regulations. Bidding for more lots does not raise the odds.

Was the Jio Platforms IPO registrar KFintech?

Yes. KFin Technologies is the registrar for the Jio Platforms IPO, and its page lists Jio Platforms Limited. The Jio guide has the price band, lot size and listing timetable.

My money is still blocked after the refund date. What should I do?

Check the mandate status in your UPI app, then write to your bank with the application number. If that fails, contact the registrar and then file a complaint on SEBI SCORES.

Is there a charge to check IPO allotment status?

No. The KFintech, BSE and NSE status pages are free. Anyone asking for a fee to check or guarantee an allotment is running a scam.

What is Fermor?

Fermor is a financial platform built for India. All calculators are free to use, with a free account available to save your results. Fermor is building an automated financial action system on the Account Aggregator framework.
