Other Ways to Confirm Your Allotment
- Broker app: The IPO orders section shows allotted or not allotted once the registrar file is out.
- UPI app: A revoked mandate means no shares, and a debit means you were allotted.
- SMS and email: The registrar, your bank or your broker often send a message to your registered contact details.
- Demat holdings: From 27 October, allotted Jio shares appear under holdings in your demat account.
Your application number is in the IPO section of your broker app, or in the bank confirmation if you applied through net banking.
Jio IPO Listing Date and Time
Jio Platforms shares list on NSE and BSE on Wednesday 28 October 2026, and normal trading starts at 10:00 AM IST. Before that, a special pre-open session sets the opening price, under the exchanges' listing-day rules for IPOs.
| Time | What happens |
|---|---|
| 9:00 to 9:45 AM | Buy and sell orders are entered, changed or cancelled |
| 9:45 to 9:55 AM | Orders are matched and the opening price is set |
| 9:55 to 10:00 AM | Buffer before normal trading |
| 10:00 AM | Normal trading in Jio shares begins |
Allotted shares reach your demat account on Tuesday 27 October through NSDL or CDSL. Some broker apps show them only on listing morning, so an empty holdings page on the evening of 27 October is not a problem by itself.
Your listing gain on one lot is the opening price minus the issue price, times 12 shares. The Stock Return Calculator works it out, and the Capital Gains Calculator shows the tax: a sale within 12 months is taxed at 20%.

Enter the issue price, your sale price and your quantity to see the profit or loss on your Jio shares.
What the Jio IPO Allotment Status Means
The status page returns one of four results, and each one tells you what happens to your blocked money. Here is how to read them.
| Status shown | What it means | What happens next |
|---|---|---|
| Allotted | You won shares, usually one lot of 12 in the retail category | Rs 13,428 per lot at the upper band is debited, shares reach demat on 27 October |
| Not allotted | Your valid bid was not picked in the lottery | The full amount is unblocked on 27 October |
| Partially allotted | You bid for several lots and received fewer | Only the allotted lots are debited, the rest is released |
| No record found | Data not uploaded yet, a typo, or the bid never reached the exchange | Wait a few hours, recheck your details, then ask your broker |
How Jio IPO Shares Are Allotted to Retail Investors
When the retail portion is oversubscribed, each winning retail applicant gets one minimum lot of 12 shares, picked by a computerised lottery. This follows the allotment rules in the SEBI ICDR Regulations, which the offer document repeats.
- One application, one ticket: A bid for 14 lots has the same chance as a bid for one lot, because the lottery counts applications.
- Minimum lot first: The registrar gives one lot to as many retail applicants as the shares allow before anyone gets a second lot.
- Odds depend on applications: Retail bids came to roughly 2.7 times the shares on offer, per exchange bid data, but the multiple counts shares, not applicants.
The registrar publishes the final basis of allotment with the exchanges, showing the ratio for each bid size. Confirm the numbers there rather than trusting a forwarded estimate.
What If You Did Not Get Jio IPO Allotment
If you were not allotted, your money was never debited, and the blocked amount is released on 27 October 2026. Under the ASBA system the funds only stayed blocked in your own account.
- UPI applications: The sponsor bank revokes the mandate, and your UPI app shows it as revoked or released.
- If it is still blocked: Contact your bank with the application number, then the registrar at jioplatforms.ipo@kfintech.com.
- Last resort: File a complaint on SEBI SCORES, the regulator's grievance portal.
If you still want Jio shares, you can buy them on NSE or BSE from 10:00 AM IST on 28 October, like any listed stock.
Common Reasons for a Missing or Rejected Jio IPO Application
Most rejections come from a UPI mandate that was never approved, or from details that do not match. A rejected bid is unblocked on the same timetable as a non-allotment.
- UPI mandate not approved: The block request expired before the cut-off.
- PAN or demat mismatch: The PAN on the bid differs from the demat record.
- Duplicate application: Two bids from the same PAN are both rejected.
- Bid above Rs 2 lakh: More than 14 lots in the retail category.
Jio IPO Allotment Scams to Avoid
No one can guarantee or sell you an IPO allotment, because the registrar runs the lottery under exchange supervision. Check only on the KFin, BSE or NSE sites, typed in yourself.
- Fake allotment links: Ignore links in WhatsApp, SMS or Telegram messages that claim to show your result.
- Guaranteed allotment offers: Anyone promising shares for a fee is running a scam.
- OTP or UPI PIN requests: Checking allotment needs a PAN and a captcha only. Never share an OTP or PIN.
Report a suspected fraud to your broker and on the national cybercrime helpline 1930.
